As well as:
Recently, the Linux version of UnrealIRCd was discovered to have had a Trojan worm its way into the source code. Even more embarrassing for the developers of Unreal is that the Trojan's been holding open the backdoor in the source code since November of 2009-- not very recently. And, of course, bloggers and press in general are taking the opportunity of another breach in Linux security to point ... original. Visit unduqw3t1970

Herding Boids

Check this out:

Bennett Klein posted a photo:

Looking through my scribbles in the margins of Herd, I came across a note about 'boids'.
Boids are CG flocking creatures created by programmer Craig Reynolds. The simulation designed a realistic flock of 3D birds, based on three simple behaviors: separation, alignment and cohesion.
We're reminded of the role these ideas play within a healthy organization, and the fact that a few 'true' principles can drive massively complex, self organizing group behaviors.

Who Would Have Thought

Sitting on the brown couch in front of the big glass window in the front room. Have my nephew over for 3 days trying to figure out what he likes. Digging through my pockets looking for some loose change - come on lets hit the jackpot. Cant help but wonder if everything will be the same next month . . .

Never Doubt

Sitting in front of the TV on the most comfortable couch youve ever seen. Just me and the cat and 2 dogs spending some quality time together. Playing a few math tricks in my head to keep my brain moving. Will we ever get a hold of the craziness?
